On 19.th November we arrived to Hue by bus. The way was very-very long, 12 hours and not so comfortable. We had decided to travel by sitting bus instead of sleeping bus, because the beds are enough small for the west people in the sleeping bus and the other type is cheaper. Well, during the way we could enjoy the local people`s common with the Vietnamese popmusic from the tv. It was funny I think.
But we arrived to Hue and Miss Quinh were waiting for us with some friends who transported us to Ouinh`s house where we slept on our first night. She is a member of Hospitality Club, a network of people interested in interculture experiences. So we will meet her and her friends a lot in the future here in Hue.
Hue is more smaller, calmer and less noisy, than Hanoi so I like it better. The streets look the same as Hanoi but for me more nice. Hue was the capital of the Nguyen emperors and Hue is packed with temples, tombs, palaces and pagodas. From 1993 Hue is the part of World Heritage. So Hue is the place for my style. :-) Here are extremly famous foods because the chefs cooked here for the kings special and particular meals. So it must to discover!
On Monday afternoon we met with Dr. Nguyen Viet Nanh who is the coordinator of our project. He was very nice and friendly but busy. So we will work with Vivien Heller, who deputizes DED (Deutscher Entwicklungsdienst) here and a special teacher as well as Hoang thi Dieu Hong who is a psychologist and works for the OGCDC (Office of Genetic Counseling and Disabled Children). This organisation has a Future School in the city and two Special School around, one is in the Duc Son Pagoda and another in Nam Dong. These school were based for children with special needs. There are mainly mental some physically and some serious disabled children.
Persze nagy részük itt is elpusztult a háború során. 1993-tól azonban a Hué a Világörökség része. Nem beszélve a hires ételekről! Mivel az uralkodók itt tartózkodtak, a szakácsok is itt főztek rájuk, igy egy-két különlegesség kikerült az utcákra. De ez még felfedezésre vár! Remélem pozitiv eredménnyel!
Hétfő délután találkoztunk dr. Nguyen Viet Nhan- nal, aki a projektünk koordinátora.
